Job Title: Senior Buyer

Job Summary:

Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Materials Management, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for purchasing all supplies, equipment, and services for the healthcare institution including inventory management, contract compliance, and providing supplies in the right place at the right time and in right quantity and price. The Senior Buyer has authority for committing substantial institutional funds by contract (purchase order). The Senior Buyer is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required or a combination of experience in lieu of a diploma. * Associate’s Degree in Business preferred. Experience: * A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Materials Management or warehouse setting required. * Considerable knowledge of purchasing and contracting regulations preferred. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Must have extensive knowledge and operating ability of Materials Management software systems Required Licensure/Certification(s): * Valid driver’s license and eligibility to be insured under RMCHCS vehicle liability policy is required
