Maridel brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across hospitals, physician practices, and multi-site healthcare systems throughout the Southwest. Her passion for strengthening patient care, supporting healthcare teams, and building strong community relationships will help lead RMCHCS into an exciting new chapter.
“I am honored and excited to join Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services as Chief Executive Officer,” said Maridel Acosta-Cruz. “Healthcare leadership is deeply personal to me because hospitals are more than buildings; they are places where families seek healing, hope, and trust.”

David comes to RMCHCS with over 20 years of experience in healthcare Finance and Operations. He has been a hospital CFO for 15 years in various states to include: Mississippi, Massachusetts, Oklahoma and most recently New Mexico. He has spent the last 8 and a half years of his career with Ardent Health Services and has been a CFO at both Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Medical Center.
Earlier in David’s career, at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, he worked as a Perfusionist in the Surgery department. His clinical background as a Perfusionist allows him to discuss medicine more effectively with physician partners.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State, a Bachelor of Science in Perfusion Technology from Medical University of South Carolina, and a Masters of Health Administration from Seton Hall University.
On a personal note, David is married and has a son age 12 along with a daughter who is age 10.

Curry Graham serves as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at RMCHCS, joining the organization in 2020 as Director of ICU. With over 30 years of nursing experience, Curry has spent much of his career in leadership roles across Critical Care, Emergency, and Flight Nursing.
Curry’s background also includes service as a Combat Flight Medic and Nurse during his time in the U.S. Army. Additionally, he has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Chamberlain University.
In his spare time, Curry enjoys outdoor activities and spending time at his family’s homestead in central New Mexico.

Shannon Hall serves as the Chief Quality Officer (CQO). Shannon’s professional background spans healthcare leadership, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention, system integration, regulatory compliance, and organizational culture transformation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN); a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is currently completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as well as her CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).
Originally from Los Angeles, Shannon spent much of her career in the Tampa Bay and Orlando, Florida regions. Having previously served in a rural Critical Access Hospital, she values the resilience, connection, and purpose that define rural healthcare.
On a personal note, Shannon is a devoted wife to her husband, Al, of almost 11 years, who is truly her best friend and greatest supporter. She is also a mother of two wonderful children – a 19-year-old daughter and a 27-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys baking and sharing home-cooked meals, spending time with her fur babies – who proudly sport Dallas Cowboys gear – and surrounding herself with the things that bring her joy: family, friends, good music, tulips, football, and a little bit of quiet whenever she can find it.


Jim Bendt serves as Chief People & Strategy Officer, bringing more than 20+ years of executive leadership experience across healthcare and mission-driven organizations. As a people strategist and strategic advisor, Jim has built his career helping organizations align their people, culture, and business strategies to improve performance and achieve sustainable results.
His experience spans human resources, organizational strategy, operations, leadership development, workforce planning, technology transformation, and organizational change. Throughout his career, Jim has partnered closely with CEOs, executive teams, and boards to strengthen organizational effectiveness, develop leaders, build high-performing teams, and translate strategy into measurable results.
In his role as Chief People & Strategy Officer, Jim provides leadership for the organization’s people strategy and strategic priorities, with a focus on building an engaged workforce, strengthening leadership capabilities, and positioning the organization for long-term growth and success.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare support services, Rome Arguelles is a results-driven Director known for transforming operational performance, driving patient satisfaction, and leading high-performing teams across environmental services, food & nutrition, facilities management, security and emergency management.
Throughout a distinguished career in acute care hospitals, long-term care, and multi-
site healthcare systems, Rome Arguelles has consistently delivered improvements in service quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Known for a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to excellence, he has spearheaded strategic initiatives that enhance patient and staff experience while aligning with organizational goals and values.
A collaborative leader with deep expertise in Joint Commission standards, infection prevention protocols, and service line integration, Rome Arguelles partners closely with clinical teams to ensure a seamless, patient-centered environment. He is also passionate about staff development, having built robust training and engagement programs that reduce turnover and foster a culture of accountability and compassion.
Rome is an active member with ASHE and ASHES, he is also the current president for CASHE.


Rodolfo Fuentes brings more than 13 years of healthcare leadership experience to the organization, with a background that combines clinical medicine and healthcare operations.
His experience includes overseeing multi-site clinic operations, improving patient access and workflow efficiency, and supporting provider and staff development in both hospital and ambulatory care settings.
Rodolfo is passionate about patient-centered care, operational excellence, and building collaborative healthcare teams that improve access and outcomes for the communities they serve.
Monica Torres is a dedicated Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle with over 20 years of
experience in the complexities of healthcare finance. Skilled in agile methodologies, Monica has successfully led cross functional teams to enhance revenue cycle best practice.
Monica’s commitment to fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
has resulted in enhanced productivity and project outcomes. In addition to her professional expertise, Monica currently is pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Administration. Outside of work, Monica enjoys exploring new hiking trails and spending time with her grandson.
