Dr. Michelle Stam-MacLaren is a dedicated pediatrician with over 28 years of experience in the medical field. She grew up in Gallup and graduated from Rehoboth Christian School. Dr. Stam-MacLaren earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico Of Medicine in 1995, and completed her pediatric residency at DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1998.

In August 1998, she returned to Gallup and joined the medical staff at RMCHCS. Her father, Dr. Richard Stam was one of the founders of the original Cibola Clinic, which later merged with RMCHCS and became the College Clinic. Dr. Stam-MacLaren had the opportunity to work alongside her father for five years before his retirement. Over the years, she has been instrumental in the development and evolution of our local pediatric healthcare services.

Dr. Stam-MacLaren offers comprehensive pediatric care for children from birth to 18 years of age. Her services include well-child and teen check-up, management of chronic conditions such as asthma and ADHD, treatment for acute illnesses, sports physicals, dental procedure clearances, and administration of childhood vaccinations.

She is currently accepting new patients and participates with various insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid, Presbyterian, Blue Cross, United Healthcare and others.
