Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Unit Director and a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs work of routine difficulty and provides care for the multicultural neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This is accomplished through criteria outlined on the core competency evaluation form. It is also the responsibility of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to collect data, provide comfort measures, and completes other duties as assigned. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for all duties as assigned and may function as unit secretary as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
* Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent program is required.
Experience:
* A minimum of six (6) months’ of healthcare-related experience is preferred.
* Ability to read, communicate and document effectively through oral, written or electronic means.
* Previous PC experience preferred and excellent customer service skills required. Ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical skills.
