Under the direction of the Emergency Room Director, the Emergency Room Tech performs work of routine difficulty and provides care for the multicultural neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This is accomplished through criteria outlined on the core competency evaluation form. It is also the responsibility of the Patient Care Technician to collect data, provide comfort measures, assist with splinting, and complete duties consistent with secretarial duties of the Emergency Department. The Emergency Room Tech is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.
