Job Title: New Graduate Nursing Program

Job Summary:

Position Summary:
The New Graduate Nurse is responsible to the CNO to provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Program competency and success is evaluated based on assessment of the nurse’s ability to utilize the nursing process as it applies to formulating an appropriate plan for care and analyzing the effectiveness of interventions. Duties are of considerable difficulty and are based on scientific principles and standards of nursing practice. The New Graduate Nurse will be responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: * Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma Program is required. * Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred. Experience: * Demonstrates the ability to utilize/develop critical thinking skills for the duration of the program. * Demonstrates ability to participate in developing skills to provide care that is appropriate for age, culture and disease process for Pediatrics, Adults, Adolescents and Geriatrics. Required Licensure/Certification(s): * Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico or acceptable compact state RN licensure. * BLS certification or willing to obtain during the program within three (3) months of hire.
