Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:

Position Summary:
The Pharmacist reports to the Director of Pharmacy and provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices. Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, and provide drug information. They also supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of a Pharmacy Manager. The Pharmacist is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: * Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required. Experience: * A minimum of three (3) years’ acute hospital in-patient pharmacy experience is required. * Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, and electronic means. * Ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload, and to work independently with minimal direct supervision. * Ability to use software to assist with financial and clinical data * Ability to make clinical interventions as they arise. Required Licensure/Certification(s): * Current Pharmacist License from the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy is required, with no prior disciplinary actions on license.
